Warm Winter

Isn't the crochet detail on this blouse great? I thrifted it a little while back for a whopping fifty cents, and I definitely think it was worth every penny! I stole this necklace from Josh's room a few days ago (and he stole it right back when he saw that I had taken it...jerk). But we ordered it and a matching ring for our Valentine's Day presents for each other in February, but sadly my ring is nowhere to be found. Maybe I'll hint for a new one at some point. ;P

It's been way too warm the past few days. Though it's nice to be able to wear more of what I want, I would gladly trade it for clouds and snow. We need snow so badly here.

Outfits like this seem to have become the norm for me in the past week or so. It's just so easy to put on jeans, a top and boots and go. And there's nothing wrong with it, I just really miss dressing as creatively as I used to. I know I can get it back, though!

Just step away from the jeans and boots, Victoria, and no one will get hurt.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Is anyone else having a hard time coming to terms with Christmas being over? I feel like I spent too much time running around trying to get things done that I didn't spend nearly enough time just enjoying myself. I guess it's just something to keep in mind for next year. Well, really it's something that I need to keep in mind all the time.

This shawl has quickly become one of my absolute favorite things to wear since I thrifted it a few weeks ago. It's such a fun piece, and surprisingly soft. The only downside is that it doesn't provide much warmth, but that'll just make it perfect for the warmer months! I took these photos in my sister's (now vacant) room on Christmas Eve morning. It was strange for her not to be there on Christmas, but at least now I get to use her room for pictures whenever I want now!

I hope you all had a beautiful holiday.

Love,
Victoria

Ideas for Last Minute Gift Wrapping!

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

Can you believe it's already here? I've been going crazy trying to get all the presents wrapped (I'm doing them all except for the ones that are for me), and just in case you guys are still getting some last minute wrapping done, I thought I'd share some of my favorite ideas and printables with you. Be warned that there's quite a list, but I hope they help!

Love,
Victoria

and last...

Good luck with everything! I should be seeing you guys again sometime today, but until then have a beautiful Christmas Eve. Enjoy it! :)

Playing catch up.

There are so many things I need to catch up on since the wedding (mostly pictures and videos). I wore this the day before we left for the wedding (Wednesday), and there are two things that stick out to me about it.

#1: I have a serious problem with my tights ripping. Seriously. Sometimes I'll wear them once, then they'll look like these ones the next time I wear them. I know that it's partially because my dogs are always dragging stickers into the house that end up sticking to and ripping my tights, but maybe there's also a quality issue here?

And #2: I need a warm coat. The one in these pictures is the warmest I have, and it's really kind of thin. For now I've been making do with layers, but seriously. I need to get on that.

How are you all doing? Getting in the Christmas spirit? I know I am! :)

One last thing. I've recently made a twitter and a formspring account (I'm a bit nervous about the second one, but I think it'll be fun!), so check them out if you get a chance. :)

Love,
Victoria

Guest Post from Maria Elyse

Hey guys!
I know it's been a while, but my older sister just got married in Utah on Saturday! So I asked my wonderful friend Maria to fill in for me while we're all recovering from the craziness. I know I talk about her on this blog all the time, but (if you don't know already) you'll see why soon.

Thank you so much, Maria!

Hello readers of Little Bird Blue!

I'm Maria Elyse from First Impressions! December has just begun and already I can tell that December and I are going to get along beautifully. The snow falls from full clouds every day or two, and the wind is taking a rest from its usual harsh bite and is quite gentle. The white snow is a great contrast to the dark evergreen trees scattered about, and when the sun shines it lights it all so brilliantly it's hard to keep my eyes wide open when I'm outside.

Victoria just sent me this blouse and crown as a gift {along with some other goodies} and I love them so much. The blouse reminds me of the Victorian era, and the crown is so perfect.

I hope you all are becoming good friends with December! Have a lovely day!
