I can't fathom the fact that it's already the middle of October. Seriously, it was just the beginning of summer year like two weeks ago, wasn't it? This also means that I've been in college for two months now.
So far, school has been pretty great (for the most part). I was lucky enough to get amazing room mates who have already become some of the best friends I've ever had. I love all of my classes and I've really started to love learning again. It's invigorating to have teachers who are so obviously knowledgeable and excited about their subjects, and it's a great change from some of the teachers I had in high school. That being said though, I did have quite a few really amazing ones who prepared me for this stage of my education extremely well. I miss home so much all the time, but I really am happy to be here. So often lately I'll catch myself walking around on campus and just feeling so connected to everything and like I have so much to discover. It's such a specific feeling that's EXTREMELY hard to describe, but it's one of the most beautiful feelings I've ever had.
I was looking through some of my memory cards yesterday and saw that I have quite a few sets of pictures from this summer and even before that I never edited or posted, and I thought it was probably time for them to see the light of day. This outfit is from a weekend I spent a home probably about a month and a half ago when it was still warm. I was a bit nervous walking around wearing a floral crown and lipstick (both things that I only wear very rarely), but I made myself make it through the day without taking either off! I guess that's an accomplishment, right?
One last thing! I decided to participate in Vlogtober for the last half of the month, so if you'd care to see you can check out my youtube channel, or just watch the first video below.
I wish I had known it was Vlogtober sooner! This outfit is super gorgeous (& so are you!) I love the top and the cute little ankh necklace! I just started college, too, and it's such a fantastic feeling being in a place where students actually want to be there and learn, and teachers absolutely love their jobs <3

So glad to see a blog post from you, Victoria!! I got a little giddy and may have choked on my smoothie a little when I saw it (I am neither admitting nor denying anything...).
ReplyDeleteBut anyways, I'm so glad to hear that college is going to unbelievably well for you right off the bat. Trust me, that is not an experience everyone has the luck of receiving (I'm one of the not-so-lucky ones in grad school right now) and it really tickles me to hear that your professors have inspired you so much to learn; it's the main reason why I want to be a professor when all of my schooling is over!!
Stay well,
Cassie
