Cyber Monday Sale at Little Bird Blue

Hey guys!

Just wanted to let you know that I'm having a sale over at the shop for Cyber Monday! Everything will be 35% off until Tuesday at midnight, and some new items should be up tomorrow as well.

P.S.- If you could help me get the word out, that would be amazing! <3

And I've been quickly ushered in to a world that, I confess, I do not know

My mom, brother and I left to take Laureana to the airport at 2 in the morning so she could be on tv in Utah with her fiance to talk a little bit about the contest they won. It was weird leaving so early, but it was worth it. We went to a thrift store I'd been wanting to go to for quite some time, and I found the necklace and ring I'm wearing, as well as this poncho for $5! I love the pattern and colors and especially the hood! I think this raises my poncho/cape count to about five, and I am completely ok with that. :)

I know I mentioned that I got a new camera in my last post, but I didn't say much about it. It's the Canon Rebel T3i, and I LOVE it! It has a flip out screen that's enormously helpful for outfit photos, full HD video, and a bunch of other really nifty features. It also has about 8 megapixels more than my old camera (a Sony Alpha 230), which is definitely very nice. I hadn't really gotten to play with it much until I took these pictures. I'm still getting used to some things, but I'm really enjoying it! Not that photography is all about the camera you use or anything like that, but I feel like I'll be able to better my work now that I have this little baby.

I discovered the band Blitzen Trapper a couple of months ago, and they've definitely become one of my favorites. Their story songs are so beautiful, and this one is no exception. I really relate to it right now... especially the bit that I made the title of this post. And as an added bonus, the music video is pretty cool too!

I hope you all have a wonderful, memorable Thanksgiving tomorrow...make it count!

Love,

Victoria

Wowza

I can't believe I haven't talked about this on here yet, but a few weeks ago she and her fiance won a "dream wedding" contest on a news station in Utah where he (Adam) goes to school. So they're getting an $18,000 wedding paid for. Ridiculous, huh? :) The date is December 3, so they're going to be getting married in something like 20 days now! It's going by so fast, and I can't believe that my family won't be like it always has been for the holidays. They're happy though, and that's what matters.

But anyway these photos are from Laureana's bridal shower yesterday! A lady from her church threw a Pampered Chef party for her, so instead of everyone bringing a gift, they ordered things from the couples' wishlist. I think it works out pretty well :) I have to admit that I felt a little out of place with all of the people from church there, but I had one of my best friends and her mom with me, so everything turned out ok.

It's all going so fast!!!

P.S. - Isn't the bride to be adorable in her new donut apron and AMAZING shoes? I'm so jealous. Mostly of the latter, but I'm a bit tempted to steal the apron, too! :P

P.S. 2 - I promise I'll get better pictures of the dress soon!
